Abstract

Methotrexate (MTX) is a cytotoxic drug that can trigger neurotoxicity via enhancing oxidative stress, apoptosis, and inflammation. On the other hand, erythropoietin (EPO) functions as an antioxidant, anti-apoptotic, and anti-inflammatory agent, in addition to its hematopoietic effects.
