Biography
Samaa Helmy is a lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She earned her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2024. With ten years of teaching and research experience, she has expertise in organic and synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and drug design. Dr. Helmy's research focuses on developing anticancer agents, particularly targeting apoptosis and mitochondrial respiration in cancer cells. She has organized and participated in numerous medicinal chemistry conferences and drug discovery and molecular modeling workshops, significantly contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences.
